This is a collection of assorted illustrations that I've picked because I am pleased with how they have come out.
Some of these are part of projects on their own whilst others are just original creations or fanworks I designed purely for my own pleasure.

A game I always really loved was an old PC game from the early 2000's called "Ghost Master" and since 2024, I've been working with a modding team to bring some life back to the game.
We added Achievements, something that was entirely my responsibility to deal with and I undertook the project with keen enthusiasm and fervor.
This is everything I did for this project.
So, after the group had decided what we wanted each achievement to be, relevant to the game, it was in my hands to design the look of the icons for each achievement and also come up with a menu design that fit the game whilst also having a unique flair.
Ghost Master has a lot of blue-green colours and eventually, I decided those were the colours that felt the most thematically fitting.



For my first concept of the menu, I had a really elaborate idea that I made a video about to explain using a lot of assets in the game but in the end, I think it was a little too overambitious for what we were trying to do with the achievement menu.
We stripped the idea back and simplified it down.
I ended up doing a lot of background options for the wallpaper texture and we liked them so much that we decided to use them all but it would be randomised every time the menu would open.
Bit by bit, the concept came together.

Steven Universe was an animated series that ran from 2014 to 2019 and was a big deal to me when I was younger. I've derived a lot of inspiration from the series and its unique visuals.
I've created a lot of works inspired by what it put down.

2020 Original Idea


Breakdown: Gempressionist Spinel
One of my first characters I designed was a character that really left an impression on me. The character, 'Spinel' was designed with a rubberhose aesthetic reminiscent of the 1920's and early Fleischer animation and that has always been a genre close to my heart.
I designed another Spinel whose concept was she would grow and twist her bendy body into whimsical interpretations of other Gems in an impression of them, resulting in Gempressionist Spinel.

Chrysoprase
Spurred by a design contest to create an original Gem in 2020, I came up with the concept of an "Ametrine", a sort of snotty, bratty and spoilt-like Musician character concept with a somewhat insufferable personality.
In 2023, I decided to reinvent the concept and build it up again from the idea that I had, this time reinvented the concept into 'Chrysoprase' and, in addition to just drawing one - I created a whole band of them.
I also went through the effort of trying to create somewhat sci-fi inspired musical instruments that would fit with the theming of Steven Universe and the Chrysoprase feel in general.
